    Obviously, a failure of leadership by Governor Perry.

    (I don’t really believe that, but if you are going to give him credit for all the “good’ that happens in Texas, he shoudl also get the blame for all the “bad.”)

      How about a failure of the Feds (who insist that it’s their job) to properly secure an international border?????

        I’m sorry, I missed the part of the article that blamed the thefts on Mexican drug cartels.

          Good point! Why bother with thoughtful analysis when it’s so much easier to just blame the nearest Republican. I guess all those rumors about rampant kidnappings, rape, murder, & executions are just more lies from the Karl Rove spin machine. And yes; I blame “W” also.

            Read my initial comment more closely. I’ll make it simple for you: I don’t blame Governor Perry for the fact that Texas leads the nation in heavy equipment thefts.
