Allan Robinson has been promoted to lead the Encompass Insurance claim organization.
Part of the Allstate group of companies, Encompass provides automobile, homeowner and related insurance products to help protect customers in the event of a loss. Sold exclusively through independent agencies, it is headquartered in Northbrook, Ill.
Robinson succeeds Jim Murray, who will now lead the Centralized Services organization for Allstate claims. In this role, Murray will be responsible for Small Business Commercial, Special Investigative Unit, Priority Repair Option and Med-Pay Central groups.
Robinson previously led Sterling Auto Body, a wholly owned subsidiary of Allstate Non-Insurance Holdings, Inc., which is subsidiary of The Allstate Corp. During his leadership, the company repaired a record number of cars and revenues reached an all time high with record customer satisfaction.
He joined Allstate in 1984 as a claim trainee and progressed through several levels of leadership before being promoted to a subrogation senior manager in 2001 and Midwest claim field director in 2003 and, with this promotion, to assistant vice president.
