U.S. Mine Industry Worried About Thefts of Emergency Air Packs

    It has to be an inside job – and it has to be more than one person involved. First there is the person(s) stealing them, then there are the folks who come out at the same time who have to see them and isn’t there a lift operator or someone else at the entrance to the mine? A lot of folks have to know – makes you wonder about the intelligence of the folks who work in the mines who see their safety devices walking out of the mines. Their families will be first in line to sue the mine operators for a lack of a sufficient number of these safety devices.
