Among insurance companies, NY Life and Geico rank highest in brand loyalty, according to the 2007 Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement Index.
The index, which examines customer relationships with 362 brands in 55 categories, said its listing indicates how the customer views and compares category offerings, and identifies what expectations customers have. The brands that come close to meeting or exceeding the category ideal are the ones whose customers will demonstrate the highest levels of engagement and loyalty over the next 12 to 18 months, Brand Keys indicated.
For auto insurers, companies with high brand loyalty included Geico, State Farm, Allstate/Nationwide (tie), and Progressive. Insurance companies with high brand loyalty were NY Life, ING, The Hartford, MetLife, Travelers, Prudential, AXA and Aetna.
