Acordia Inc., a Wells Fargo Company, has named Larry Sorensen vice president, national program practice leader. Sorensen will be responsible for Acordia’s program business. He will serve as the lead at the corporate level based in Chicago.
Most recently, Sorensen was with Endurance Reinsurance Corporation of America where he was the senior marketing executive responsible for identifying and cultivating insurance and reinsurance opportunities. Prior to that, he served as president and chief executive of the global operations of the Managing General Underwriting (MGU) entities of Aon Services Group.
Sorensen earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of Illinois and attended the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago. He is also a past Chairman of The National Association of Insurance Brokers (currently referred to as the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers).
