The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. has selected Juan C. Andrade to be executive vice president and head of the Property and Casualty Operations’ claims organization.
Andrade, who is currently the deputy head of claims, assumes overall responsibility for the group’s operations and its more than 5,000 employees effective June 2. In his role, Andrade will replace Calvin Hudson, who is retiring after a 33-year career with The Hartford.
Andrade joined The Hartford earlier this year from The Progressive Corporation, where he most recently served as general manager for the Gulf Coast region, leading that company’s largest field claim organization. Prior to his tenure in that position, Andrade served in a number of senior roles at Progressive, including general manager of the Southern California, Colorado and Wyoming business units.
Earlier in his career, Andrade worked for the American International Group (AIG) in New York and overseas.
