Insurance company contact information is now available through a single toll-free telephone number to people whose homes and businesses were damaged by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, according to the Hurricane Insurance Information Center (HIIC).
By dialing 1-800-942-4242 callers will receive claims contact information for hundreds of insurance companies.
The company claims assistance telephone numbers, tips on settling claims after a disaster and other useful information also are available on the HIIC Web site http://www.disasterinformation.org.
