Marshall and Swift / Boeckh (MS/B), a provider of building cost data and estimating technology to the property insurance industry, announced the strategic promotion of three senior level executives.
Bob Dowdell is now serving as chairman of MS/B, Jim Thornton is now CEO, and Peter Wells is now president.
Over his nearly 12-year tenure at MS/B, Dowdell, who most recently
served as CEO, has helped transform the organization from a paper-based publishing company to a “knowledge company” that provides
a wide variety of services to the property insurance, appraisal, and
assessment industries, and to various governmental organizations.
Thornton, who has served MS/B and its clients since February, 2005 as chief operating officer, has nearly two decades of operational and sales management experience.
Wells, who most recently senior vice president at MS/B, has been with the company since 1995. Wells will continue to spearhead the planning and development of strategic consulting services and products for the underwriting and claims divisions of property insurance carriers.
