GAB Robins announced a strategic alliance with TechHealth (www.techhealth.com), a nationwide specialty network for ancillary medical services.
GAB Robins claims professionals and the nurse case managers in its managed care division, MedInsights, will use TechHealth for diagnostic imaging, durable medical equipment, home modifications, home health services, and specialty products.
“TechHealth will not only reduce claims costs, but will also help us significantly improve patient care and clinical outcomes for our clients,” said Paul Bode, divisional president, Risk Management Services and MedInsights, GAB Robins.
GAB Robins/MedInsights, in conjunction with TechHealth, developed an on-line web portal to help claims professionals and nurse case managers get critical information faster and more efficiently. They can use the secure web to initiate referrals and track status.
Users will automatically receive electronic copies of all medical reports, and will be able to check progress notes and communicate with the GAB Robins national service desk. The electronic interface uses secure encryption (SSL) in compliance with HIPAA Title II requirements.
