GEICO’s claims staff has been on duty in the Gulf Coast since Hurricane Katrina devastated the area last week. GEICO’s Catastrophe Response Teams (CAT) were also deployed to Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama and will remain in place until all hurricane claims are resolved.

“During an emergency like this,” said GEICO President and CEO Tony Nicely, “the best thing we can do for our policyholders is prepare our CAT teams with the supplies they’ll need and move them immediately into those areas. GEICO values its customers’ security and peace of mind, and we will help get policyholders back on the road as soon as possible.”
