For the seventh straight year, the Risk Management Unit of CNA insurance companies will present its Safety in Excellence Award to Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA), the North American subsidiary of Fresenius Medical Care AG.
CNA’s award recognizes a company’s national leadership and dedicated commitment to employee health, safety, and loss prevention. For seven consecutive years, FMCNA has reportedly demonstrated significant reductions in employee injury rates.
An award presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 20, during the RIMS (Risk & Insurance Management Society) Annual Conference in Philadelphia. Ron Murtlow, CNA’s vice president of Risk Management, will present the award.
“This was an especially significant year for Fresenius Medical Care North America,” said Murtlow. “Not only does it mark the seventh consecutive year that Fresenius Medical Care North America has received our Safety in Excellence Award, but it marks their best reduction of their OSHA Lost Time Case Incidence Rate as compared to each of the prior six years.”
Larry Park, FMCNA’s vice president of Health, Safety, Environmental Affairs, Engineering and Risk Management, will receive the award. Park noted, “Without the dedicated efforts of all of our employees, this award would not be possible. Through their contributions, the entire company has been honored in the area of health and safety.”
