The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. has appointed David De
Berry as vice president and head of claims for its Hartford Financial Products (HFP) organization, headquartered in New York City, effective immediately. He replaces Joseph Monteleone, who has resigned to become a partner at Duane Morris LLP.
Before this new appointment, De Berry served as vice president of HFP’s financial services claims unit, which oversees claims on behalf of investment banks, mutual funds, insurance companies and investment advisors.
In his new position, De Berry, 48, will manage all HFP claim personnel and all claims arising under HFP’s insurance products, which include directors & officers (D&O), errors & omissions (E&O), employment practices liability (EPL), fiduciary liability, employee dishonesty (Fidelity) and other management liability products.
De Berry began his career at The Hartford in 2000 when The Hartford
purchased certain assets from Reliance Group Holdings.
