American Agency System Celebrates 5th Anniversary

American Agency System Inc. (AASI) is celebrating five years of business this year.

The company provides workers’ compensation policy and claims service to thousands of employers and employees in close to 40 states. Executive Vice President of Marketing for AASI’s parent company, Midlands Management Corporation, Don Glaspey, recalled the flurry of start-up activities five years ago, noting, “We anticipated needs and established a reputation early on for providing personal service with a vast amount of combined expertise to back it up.”

AASI’s president Mike Zserdin noted, “The past couple of years have posed serious challenges to general agencies and insurance companies alike. We’ve not been immune to those challenges, however, the fact that we’ve made it through such a severe down cycle is a testimony to our people, their efforts and the agents’ support we’ve received.”

AASI is a wholly owned subsidiary of Midlands Management Corporation. The company provides bundled and unbundled services including loss prevention, audit, underwriting, and premium accounting to individual employers and self-insured groups. First dollar workers’ compensation services are offered through recognized “A” rated national insurance carriers.
