A spokesman says the Indiana attorney general’s office has no immediate comment on a new lawsuit filed in connection with the Indiana State Fair’s deadly stage collapse two years ago.
The suit was filed Friday by the company that insured equipment used by performers Sugarland and Sara Bareilles.
The Indianapolis Business Journal reports Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. and subsidiary AGCS Marine seek to recover unspecified equipment-related losses.
Defendants include the Indiana State Fair Commission, the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees Local 30, Mid-America Sound Corp. of Greenfield and seven other companies involved in designing and erecting the stage that collapsed Aug. 13, 2011, killing seven people and injuring nearly 60 others.
Messages seeking comment were left Tuesday for attorneys for the other defendants.
