The Nebraska State Patrol made 101 drunken driving arrests and stopped 1,555 drivers for speeding during its special holiday enforcement this year.
State troopers worked extra hours between Dec. 14 and Jan. 1 as part of the enforcement campaign.
Besides the drunken driving and speeding charges, the patrol also issued 98 tickets for driving on a suspended license.
Another 114 drivers received tickets for not having proof of their insurance. And 320 seat belt citations or warnings were issued.
