Milwaukee, Wis., police say a dog walker required surgery after a pit bull leaped from a second-story balcony and attacked his own dog.
Police say the 55-year-old man came to the defense of his pet and wrestled the pit bull off his dog, but the man suffered bites to his face, arms, legs and torso.
The man was out walking his dog about 5 p.m. Saturday when the attack occurred. Police say responding officers located the pit bull and shot it twice with a shotgun, killing the aggressor dog.
The victim was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital with serious bite wounds.
