A fire has heavily damaged a bank office and destroyed an adjoining insurance office in the northern Iowa city of Titonka.
Firetrucks were dispatched just before 3 a.m. Sunday to the TSB Bank office.
Fire Chief David Trunkhill says the fire began at the bank and spread to the Boyken Insurance office.
No injuries were reported.
Trunkhill says winds blew smoke toward neighboring houses, so nearly two dozen residents were evacuated for a time.
Bank officials say the bank’s vaults are intact, as are the safety deposit boxes.
The fire cause is being investigated.
