Thieves have made off with about 300 feet of aluminum fence from outside a church in Cleveland, Ohio.
Multiple news outlets report that police are asking scrapyards to be on the lookout for anyone trying to sell aluminum fencing in a suspicious manner. Police say they want to know about any attempt to sell a large amount of fencing without proper documentation.
The fence disappeared last week from outside the Cleveland Church of Christ on the city’s east side. The Plain Dealer reports the church’s insurance will cover the $2,000 loss.
