Flooding Interrupts University of Michigan Cancer Clinic Care

Flooding caused by a water line break has interrupted patient care at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center clinic building.

The building was closed for patient care Wednesday after being evacuated Tuesday afternoon due to flooding. Officials say there was no harm to patients and emergency power was available to complete high-priority care.

Patients scheduled for chemotherapy Wednesday at the main Cancer Center building were being contacted. Some treatments may be performed at the new C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital infusion area.

Some clinic visits and procedures were being moved or rescheduled. Water damage also disrupted some telephone service.
