Milwaukee police say a shooter opened fire in an east-side restaurant, killing one person and critically injuring another.
Authorities were searching for three suspects in the shooting inside La Piazza just before 1 a.m. Tuesday. The restaurant is near a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee dorm.
Police spokeswoman Anne E. Schwartz identified the man who was killed as 31-year-old Luis E. Santiago. She says the injured man is 28 years old but she withheld his name as the victim of a crime.
Authorities tell WTMJ-TV they believe the shooting was the result of a fight.
The deadly shooting took place just days before the restaurant was scheduled to close its doors.
