A 26 year old “celebrating” New Years Eve trips and falls through a railing and off a deck? He was probably drinking all night his own negligence in allowing himself to get into a compromised condition is the proximate cause. There should be no reward to his relatives for his stupidity and carlessness.
Agreed. I had an acct where they managed high rise condos along the Gulf coast. A renter of a privately owned unit thought it would be a good idea (mind you alcohol was involved) that a dive into the pool from three stories up was a good idea. I think the ticker is still rolling on that one into the seven digits. Crippled not only physically but with the knowledge that he is a dumb a** on a grand scale.
Wow, way to ASSume. You can trip and fall when you are completely sober you know. The article says that he fell through a gap in the deck railing, not that he drank himself to death.
It is irresponsible to assume that he was drunk because of his age and because he was at a New Year’s Eve part. Completely irresponsible.
Thanks Stephanie for the clarification! It said he tripped and fell through a gap. This could have happened to anyone drunk or sober. The apt manager should have made the appropriate repairs.
