A rural South Dakota man has lost part of his leg in a farming accident.
Emergency crews were called to a farm south of town late Thursday afternoon after Scott Woods severed a leg below the knee in a corn silage chopper in a neighbor’s cornfield. He was flown to a Sioux Falls hospital.
Woods family says he’s in stable condition, but may have more of his leg amputated due to trauma to the bone.
