An explosion at a West Carrollton, Ohio, industrial facility injured two workers and resulted in a massive fire visible for miles.
The blast early on May 4 at Veolia Environmental Services in West Carrollton shook homes so hard in the community south of Dayton that one neighbor said framed pictures fell off his wall. Another man said he thought a large jet had gone down.
Authorities say two plant workers were injured. Their conditions are not known. West Carrollton Fire Chief Jack Keister says one man was in a locker room and was buried under lockers but was able to crawl out.
The EPA is monitoring air quality.
