The Fargo City Commission has voted unanimously to move ahead with a southside flood control project.
The cost of construction has increased to $147.3 million. Engineers say it will help protect more homes and land that could be developed south of the city limits.
The commission’s approval means the design team can continue its work and submit the plan for an environmental review by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
