Gov. Matt Blunt promoted from within to fill a vacancy in the state insurance department.
Blunt named Linda Bohrer as acting director of the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration. She had been serving as director of the department’s Insurance Market Regulation Division.
She previously served in the department’s consumer affairs division and in the state Office of Administration.
Bohrer replaces director Doug Ommen, who was appointed by Blunt to the Administrative Hearing Commission.
