The Wisconsin state Justice Department reached a settlement with three contractors over violations of demolition regulations at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.
Walsh Construction Co., Omega Demolition Corp. and Balestrieri Environmental and Development, Inc., were ordered to pay a total of $105,000.
The Justice Department alleges the contractors violated asbestos removal regulations during demolition of the courthouse’s annex building in 2006.
Similar allegations against the county and Professional Service Industries are pending.
