To help Illinois employers reduce on-the-job injuries and illnesses the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the state of Illinois will offer five morning safety seminars starting March 8 at Eigerlab in Rockford, Ill.
The seminars will provide employers with an overview of OSHA regulations, common workplace hazards and resources to address the hazards. Co-sponsored by OSHA’s North Aurora area office, the Onsite Consultation Program of the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity, the Rock Valley College Small Business Development Center and the EDGE Business Center, the seminars will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Eigerlab, 605 Fulton Ave. in Rockford on the following dates:
March 8 Recordkeeping Update
April 12 OSHA Knocking (Inspections)
May 10 Accident Investigation
June 14 Forklift Safety
July 19 Hazard Communication
