Self-Funded Plans Taps Gorton to Head Sales and Marketing Dept.

Self-Funded Plans Inc., a third-party administration firm specializing in company benefits plan management, announced that William Gorton joined the firm as the new director of sales and marketing. Gorton is expected to position the firm for continued growth in northeast Ohio.

Before joining Self-Funded Plans, Gorton served as senior vice president for a national insurance brokerage. Previously, he was chief financial officer of the largest privately owned insurance agency in Ohio.

Self-Funded Plans Inc. has an internally-developed electronic claims processing system that helps organizations reduce the cost of claims, by providing customized reports and claim management tools. This year the firm celebrated its 25th year as an independently owned third-party administrator.
