Polish mining officials say two miners have died from the burns they obtained in an Oct. 6 methane blast, and the missing body of a third miner has been recovered.
The accident occurred 660 meters (1,265 feet) below the surface at the Myslowice-Wesola mine near the southern Polish city of Katowice.
Almost 30 miners were taken to hospital with burns, one was missing. Some 20 remain hospitalized, two in very serious, life-threatening condition.
