A bus accident in Brazil has killed at least 10 church members on their way to inaugurate a new temple.
Authorities in Minas Gerais state say Saturday that the bus was carrying more than 40 evangelical church members when its brakes failed. The driver lost control of the vehicle, and the bus rolled.
The driver told firefighters that earlier in the trip he had problems with the brakes.
Firefighters who responded to the Friday night accident say at least two other passengers are in serious condition at a hospital. Among the dead were eight women and two men.
The bus had left Brasilia and traveled about 550 miles (900 kilometers) before the accident.
