Authorities say an army bus collided with a car in eastern Macedonia, leaving 27 soldiers, including 15 officers, and three civilians injured.
Army spokesman Col. Mirce Gjorgoski said Wednesday that the bus had been carrying a total of 32 soldiers from nearby barracks to their homes. The bus overturned after colliding with a civilian four-wheel drive vehicle Tuesday afternoon near the eastern Macedonian town of Stip, about 120 kilometers southeast from the capital Skopje. Most of the injured military personnel were treated and released from Stip hospital.
Three civilians in the car, including an 11-year-old boy, were seriously injured and were being treated in a hospital in the capital, Skopje.
Police were investigating the accident.
