Crawford & Company New Zealand, a fully-owned subsidiary of Crawford & Company, and Godfrey & Company announced the merger of their operations in New Zealand. Crawford will now be represented in New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands by Godfrey & Company.
Godfrey & Company, based in Wellington, is one of New Zealand’s largest independently owned and operated firms of loss adjusters. It was established in 1999 by Mark Godfrey and Rob Moonlight.
In a joint statement, Godfrey, director of Godfrey & Company, and David Maritz, country manager of Crawford New Zealand said, “We are delighted to be able to formalize and develop the excellent working relationship that we have previously enjoyed. This new arrangement will optimize our presence in existing key locations and facilitate further growth in the local marketplace. This ability to expand and enhance our respective local operations while capitalizing on Crawford’s global strength, will send a very positive signal to our international and local clients; many of the latter have been suggesting that we do this for some time.”
Richard Martin, senior vice president and managing director of Crawford’s Asia Pacific Region, added, “The merger between our New Zealand operation and Godfreys will not only enable us to offer a wider range of professional expertise and skill in locations throughout New Zealand to our multinational clients, but it lays a solid foundation for further investment by Crawford & Company in this market in the future.”
