More Bombs on London Transportation System

Small bombs exploded in three London underground stations and a double-decker bus at mid-day July 21, two weeks after major suicide bombing attacks on the city’s transportation system.

According to press reports, the bombs were small and casualties were few, with only one person being reported injured. The explosions occurred during the lunch hour, however, causing major disruptions and gridlock around the affected areas.

Police are describing the incidents as very “serious.”

Warren Street, Shepherds Bush and Oval Underground stations were reportedly hit. A blast apparently blew out windows of a bus in the east London area of Hackney. In addition, armed police were reported to have been dispatched to University College hospital shortly after an injured person was brought in.
