DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. — A crash involving a tractor-trailer has sent jugs of dish soap spilling out onto the Pennsylvania Turnpike, shutting down a portion of the highway.
The accident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday in the eastbound lanes between Downingtown and Valley Forge.
Authorities say the truck and a car collided, causing the truck to hit a bridge and eventually split in half.
Two people were injured in the accident. But their names and further details on their conditions were not released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Traffic was being detoured around the crash scene, causing travel delays in the area. Large spills of soap were visible on the highway.
