State law enforcement agencies will begin increased enforcement of distracted driving law.
The Office of Highway Safety says the campaign will run Tuesday through June 17 to try to reduce the incidence of cellphone-related crashes.
The campaign is part of a nationwide effort called Phone in One Hand. Ticket in the Other.
Delaware officials say 138 cell phone-related crashes occurred in the state in 2011. Nationally that year, more than 3,000 people were killed in crashes involving a distracted driver.
