State police say a blown tire caused a tour bus crash on a central New Jersey highway last weekend.
Fourteen people suffered minor injuries, mostly bumps and bruises, in the accident that occurred Saturday afternoon on Interstate 295 in Mercer County.
State police Lt. Steven Jones tells The Times of Trenton that the bus was northbound, near milemarker 59 in Hamilton Township, when the blowout occurred. The driver lost control and the vehicle slid down an embankment.
The bus had departed from Philadelphia and was headed to New York when the crash occurred.
Jones said no charges would be filed in the accident.
