The Maine-based Hannaford Supermarket chain is alerting its customers to a recall of meatball products that could be contaminated by listeria.
Hannaford says all three products sold in the deli department are made by New Jersey-based Buona Vita Inc.
The products are Homestyle Meatballs with Sauce, sold by the pound; Meatball Panini, cold, UPC No. 941260723096; and Meatball Panini, hot, UPC No. 94126072102.
A market spokesman says customers who bought any of these products should not eat them, but return them to Hannaford for a full refund. Products subject to the recall have been removed from the shelves at Hannaford.
No illnesses have been reported as a result of the possible contamination.
Scarborough-based Hannaford has stores in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont.
