The family of a Virginia attorney has settled a wrongful death lawsuit.
The Roanoke Times reports the $1.25 million settlement involving the family of Thomas Farrell was approved this month in Roanoke County Circuit Court.
The 49-year-old Farrell was jogging when he was struck in January 2008. The driver of a car was acquitted of involuntary manslaughter and hit-and-run charges.
The settlement includes four insurance policies covering Farrell and one that covered the car’s driver, who made no admission of liability as part of the settlement.
