Authorities say a northern Virginia woman was injured after a 70-foot-tall tree fell through the roof of her home.
Fairfax County fire officials say it took firefighters more than an hour to extract the woman, who was pinned to the floor. She was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
It happened early Sunday morning as strong winds were tearing through the Washington area.
A man inside the house was uninjured. The house has been condemned.
