Police in Vermont are investigating the thefts of dozens of street signs in the town of Washington.
Vermont State Police say a citizen on Friday reported that numerous signs with street names had been stolen this week in the Scales Hill area of town.
The Washington road commissioner then informed police that more than 35 signs had been pilfered in the past year and a half. Officials say it costs $100 to $150 to replace each sign.
Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down who’s responsible.
