Officials say two people were injured when a deck collapsed during a birthday party on Cape Cod.
Capt. Richard Sargent of the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire Department says one adult and one child suffered injuries that were believed to be non-life-threatening when the deck collapsed around 4 p.m. Sunday in the Marstons Mills backyard.
Both were taken to Cape Cod Hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.
Sargent says six other people who had been standing on the deck when it collapsed refused treatment.
A woman claiming to be the owner of the property declined to comment to the Cape Cod Times.
