Second Fire in 3 Days Destroys Maryland House

March 7, 2011

Fire officials are trying to determine the cause of a second fire in three days at Hagerstown, Maryland house.

Authorities say Friday’s fire destroyed what was left of the house on Millers Church Road, which had been damaged in a blaze on Wednesday.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office said unattended food on a stove caused Wednesday’s fire, which killed three cats and two dogs.

Firefighters were called to the again house early Friday and encountered fire through the roof.

No one was home during the second blaze, because the residents were displaced by the first fire.
