A judge has dismissed a libel lawsuit filed against a Cape Cod author by the former boyfriend of murdered fashion writer Christa Worthington.
Tim Arnold sued author Maria Flook in 2006, claiming in her book about the Worthington case, “Invisible Eden,” that she had falsely labeled him as the killer.
The Cape Cod Times reports that Barnstable Superior Court Judge Robert Rufo wrote in his decision last week that Flook simply relayed information from prosecutors that they believed Arnold to be the prime suspect. Arnold found Worthington’s body.
Another man was later convicted of Worthington’s 2002 slaying.
Flook called the decision “very satisfying.”
Neither Arnold nor his lawyer could immediately be reached for comment.
