New York City officials say some streets were closed near City Hall Park in lower Manhattan after high winds caused falling debris yesterday.
There were no immediate reports of injuries. The first incident was around 8 a.m. Monday.
The Office of Emergency Management said Spruce Street was closed between Park Row and William Street. The OEM said some “relatively small” debris had fallen off a 72-story building under construction.
About two hours later, OEM said several more streets in the City Hall Park area were affected. It said the area around Gold Street, Ann Street and Park Row was closed to vehicles and pedestrians.
