It doesn’t matter what color you are. Anyone can do anything they strive for. No more of this “I can’t do it because I am (blank),” or “I didn’t get (blank) because I am (blank).”
Please read the facts of this case. New Haven was not being “P.C. when playing the race card.” They were trying to adhere to federal law. In my opinion a classic case of “damned if you do, damned if you don’t.”
Shame on the firefighters for continuing to drag this highly politicized and misrepresented case through the mud, all to the detriment of their employers the taxpayers of New Haven.
Please cite the federal law that requires the City of New Haven, or any other city in this country for that matter, to throw out perfectly good scores on a test because too many minorities could not pass it because it was too hard?
Do you know that there was a Hispanic man who took this test and passed with flying colors, even though he has a learning disability? Don’t you think everyone should have studied for the test instead of playing the race card? Shame on them and shame on you.
Thank goodness Obama promoted the idiot judge to the Supreme Court and got her out of the federal appellate court judge — a Tan Clan member (her admission), Ms. Sotomayor.

i am tired of always hearing the race card being used for anything. most of the time we had folks always using the card for minorities. if you look at society today, it does not matter anymore. when you look beyond the color of the skin, you will find they have the same blood and type of everyone other human being. our genetics don’t cause us to hate one another. we have made a good bit of change so make it equal for all, but let’s not go overboard just because. a test is a test of knowledge and skill. if you apply yourself, you’ll succeed. if you study for a test, you might pass it – can’t guarantee. if you notice that this coming generation, most folks are being diversed in the family. many multi-national families are together for a reason and not just because. they are not together because they want to make confrontations. they came together because they want to make a difference.
