It’s up to the individual to make it or fail on their own merits. The playing field has been more than leveled and Blacks need to stop making excuses for their failures and inability to succeed. Maybe it’s a mentality of oppression but they need to get over it. Many people wonder why, as a race, they’ve failed to progress in society. Ability and talent overcomes any barriers in today’s society so instead of always playing the race card and trying to “slip in the back door”, Blacks need to step up and stop being coddled. Shame on the city for reverse discrimination. If minorities can’t pass an objective test, so be it. Maybe they aren’t capable and if so, you don’t give them more responsibility and jeapardize people’s lives.
