Two construction workers working on a residence hall at Montclair State University were injured when the hydraulic lift they were working from tipped over.
University spokeswoman Paula Maliandi says the workers suffered “broken limbs” in the accident but the injuries are not life-threatening.
They were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson.
The accident occurred just before 2 p.m. Thursday.
The building under construction is an as-yet unnamed six-story residence hall. It was not immediately clear how high the workers were when the accident happened.
The cause is under investigation.
