Maryland State Fire Marshals say a South Gate couple has been arrested for burning their Pasadena home down.
Fire Marshals arrested 48-year-old Carl Covert at his job near Linthicum Wednesday and his wife Deborah was arrested at their home in Glen Burnie. The two are charged with arson and are being held at the county detention center pending a bail review hearing.
On May 29, police say the two started their home on fire in the 7600 block of Lake Drive and the blaze caused about $200,000 in damage.
The fire started in the home’s living room and fire marshals said the blaze was intentionally set.
