A former hospital worker who says she was harassed about her age is suing a University of Pittsburgh Medical Center hospital in federal court.
The lawsuit says Mary Addicott was born in 1956 and was hired by UPMC Horizon hospital in Greenville in January 2007.
The lawsuit says Addicott was harassed and belittled by a co-worker because of her age. Addicott says in the lawsuit that she complained to a supervisor but was told she’d just have to live with the alleged harassment.
Addicott, a respiratory therapist, finally quit in August 2008.
She is seeking lost wages, benefits and unspecified damages.
UPMC officials say they don’t comment on litigation.
