A spokeswoman for Cape Air says no one was hurt when a portion of a plane’s landing gear collapsed as it set down on Nantucket.
Airline spokeswoman Michelle Haynes says there were eight passengers and a pilot on board when Monday’s morning’s Hyannis-to-Nantucket flight landed.
Haynes says the pilot alerted passengers that they were going to have a bumpy landing.
The plane was taken out of service and is being examined by mechanics.
